Folks. We have just made the decision to postpone the start of the Tag season until June 2nd – so a delay of 1 week. The previously idle week of June 30th will now be a normal fixtures week.
The reason for this is that the works on the grounds are running behind schedule. Our car park is still 50% reduced by sand and gravel piles. Our overflow car park is totally inaccessible. This should be completed by the end of next week but it will not be clear by next Thursday.
Also the pitches themselves have not recovered fully with the new seed yet to fully integrate. An extra 7 days would help hugely.
All team captains will be getting a text and an email very shortly confirming this but please don’t hesitate to share this message so that everyone is fully aware of the situation.
Don’t worry. All others things are in hand. Table quiz on June 16th. Social night on July 14th and fancy dress finals night will still be on July 28th.
Finally, there is training for all comers on Tuesday’s in the grounds of HP from 7pm. Just park in the club and walk out our gates to the HP grounds. Team Registrations are still being accepted. So log into www.irfutag.ie to register your team to “fun yourself fit this summer”!
