Dear Member,

I hope this communication finds you well during these strange and challenging times.

Following a six month closure our club has started to reopen bit by bit. To enable us to open we have had to put plans in place to ensure C19 compliance. This has been led by John Taylor, who was appointed C19 H&S officer. John, along with his team have worked very hard to ensure our return as quickly and safely as possible. The senior section and youth section are back training. The minis are due back on 19th September.

Over the last 12 months Paul Deering, former President of both MU Barnhall and Leinster Rugby, has been working very hard in updating/rewriting our constitution and bye laws. The Executive committee have gone through the process and are happy with the document. We are now issuing it to the membership for approval, attached in this mail. An EGM has been set for Friday 2nd October at 2000hrs sharp where Paul will present the document to the membership and a vote will ensue. If you have any queries or concerns in relation to the document can you please send an email to . Paul and his team will access and reply. This will save time on the night. Paul would like to acknowledge the invaluable contribution from Paul Kelly, Joe Looby Snr and Martin Fahy.

The EGM will be immediately followed by the AGM. The agenda for the AGM is also attached.
Both meetings will take place in the clubhouse function room. There will be compliance officers in place to help with the layout and ensure social distancing.
I look forward to seeing you there.

Seán Kirby
Honorary Secretary
