Captain’s letter 2006/07
On behalf of all rugby players, I would like to extend a warm Barnhall welcome to all visiting teams and supporters. I am honored to captain the first team again this year. Last year was one of the toughest years in Division two we have experienced in the club. On the downside we were in a relegation battle at the end of the season, on the upside we got the right result and are here to fight another day. I would like to thank all the “Blue Bull Supporters” who traveled around the country last year and were with us to the end, some of whom almost didn’t make it through the last game! Your support is our strength.
Each year I give the executive committee special thanks for their work off the pitch and this year is no different. Special thanks to our sponsors and everyone who gives a special effort in our club, both on and off the field. I hope we can give them a good return on a Saturday afternoon. Best of luck to all the teams in Barnhall this year, I think we can all take the under 16’s example from last year and move forward.
I look forward to the challenges of the coming season for our first team; it will be tough, but we’re up for it.
