This summer saw the Wild Geese Tour lay on a CLub Camping night in Parsonstown on Saturday the 25th of August and if this year is anything to go by the next one will rival Oxygen!!. It was a great night with all manor of tents from Dean’s small one for himself and his teddy to the likes of Anto Larkins tent which could fit an army into it. Once the Tents were up the games began and the BBQ was lit and the Bonfire roared into life with Peter Black nearly burning all the hair off himself in the process. Burgers and bbq’d chicken were in great supply with John Taylors Reggie Reggie Sause giving them an extra Zing!. as the Night fell on Parsonstown the Big Outdoor screen went up between the 1st team posts and the everyone grabbed there beers and popcorn and settled in for the Big Movie “Shrek”. All the kids sang and laughed along as this classic movie kept the night going. As the Movie Ended, people made there way to the Bonfire for some ghost stories like the “The Beast of Barnhall” or Pickle’s “Long Tail”.
One by One as the night wore on the kids gave up the fight with the sleep monster and headed for there tents and the parents and friends settled into a night by the bonfire with some tall tails of there own and a door or table thrown on the fire to kep it going.
As daylight broke and the kids started to wake, out came the BBQ for the big Blue Bull Breakfast which was consumed in mighty form as the hungry masses awoke from there slumber.
A great night and the first of many to come!.
