NUIM BARNHALL RFC PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
I am honoured to be given the task of President of our Club for the 2012-2013 season. Possibly more than most of the hard working folks in NUIM Barnhall I have an appreciation of the magnitude of the task ahead. For the past seven years I have worked on the executive committee mostly in organising the membership side of the house. In this role I have become involved with over 900 members.
Our playing membership places NUIM Barnhall RFC in the top league of clubs, managing, supporting, coaching and fielding teams at all levels in the sport and I am really looking forward to ensuring we can all work together to continue this level of activity this year.
Our Club has always had the reputation for a welcoming friendly environment and with the support of the executive and friends we will ensure our clubhouse and facilities continues to offer a warm and welcoming place to play and participate. It will give me great pleasure to welcome all our visiting teams and large numbers of supporters to Parsonstown during my year as your President.
Every new season should be greeted with positive anticipation for what the future might bring and we look forward to continuing to build on our successes of last year.
Our many teams from Minis, Youths, Juniors, Ladies and Seniors have made us so proud on so many occasions in recent years. All teams deserve and need all the support they can get and with your help they will achieve their potential being cheered on from the side line, so come and support your favourite team on their match days.
Most of all, the club needs your support, our and your participation in playing and taking part in the club activities this year. We welcome your ideas, suggestions for club activities and we would also welcome your support for the continued development of our facilities for the membership. Fundraising efforts this year through the Club Lotto, Golf Classic, our acclaimed Yearbook, Christmas Concert, the new Building Fund and in pre and post match festivities on AIL Saturdays are all great opportunities to do your bit. Support for the pre match lunch is great fun and is superb value, so join us as often as you can from all parts of our club and bring a friend too.
I would like to thank our valued sponsors, many of whom have been with us for years. We appreciate your wonderful support to enable us continue to bring rugby to the youth of our community.
I will do my very best to ensure we support our membership, friends and visitors as I serve as your President and I wish for a safe and successful year to all our Teams, Coaches and Managers.
