Former Woman’s All Ireland League champions Blackrock College will face the NUIM Barnhall Babes this Sunday in Barnhall. Blackrock, who supplied six players to the Irish squad last year for the Women’s World Cup are undoubtedly one of the strongest ladies sides in Ireland and have been the most successful woman’s team ever to come out of Leinster.
On the other hand the Babes are one of the youngest teams in Ireland and are playing in the senior Leinster Cup for the first time this season. Blackrock beat the Babes in an exciting game of flowing rugby two weekends ago but the Babes will be looking to avenge that defeat this Sunday in the return fixture.
