All roads lead to NUIM Barnhall for the week end 9-11 August. As a follow up to The Gathering Documentary on RTE featuring NUIM Barnhall’s own Trevor Brennan,we have put together a programme of cultural and social events.
Friday 9th at 8 O’Clock
The weekend kicks off with a reception to mark the opening of our memorabilia collection of “A Walk Down Memory Lane” by Trevor Brennan celebrating the clubs history in the function room.
Saturday starting at
11 O’Clock we will have an Open Tag Tournament & Family fun day with BBQ, Face painting, bouncing castles and lots more.
7pm Over 600 people will attend the high light of the week end The Gala Dinner on the Saturday evening with special guest speakers. some tickets still available call 0871418772 to book yourself in.
Sunday at 2pm
we have organised a traditional music session with Irish dancing exhibitions and the Local Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann group will also be taking part. This will commence from 2 O’Clock. Live music also from Whiskey Still
It is hoped that over 3,000 people from the surrounding towns of Leixlip, Celbridge, Maynooth, Lucan and Straffan will attend the event at some time over the weekend. Can you make it your business to make it ?!
