Going into last weekend, the u-17s had the only 100% record in 

the club winning eight on the bounce in the League. Second placed Carlow

came calling last weekend to Parsontown, and won a tight match 10-8 in 

wet conditions. Coach Eamonn Condell felt his players didn't play to the 

levels he and his fellow coaches know they are capable of and look forward 

to meeting Carlow in the return fixture in February to decide who finishes

top of the Leinster Youth Div 1 table. In the meantime, thay have the 

first round of the Culliton Cup to contend with when they travel to 

Longford RFC this Saturday with a ko time of 11:30. Longford are currently

winning Div 2 of the youth league by a wide margin and and will be formidable

opposition at home.
