Message from MU Barnhall RFC Director of Rugby Sam Cawley

Today I am formally announcing the appointment of our club captain for this coming season, a special one, where we are celebrating our 50th Anniversary as a club.

First off, I would like to thank Simon Gillespie for his dedication and the tremendous amount of work that he got through as Club Captain.

In consultation with the Senior coaches and endorsed by the Rugby Committee, the player that we have asked to fulfil this role for the club in this special year is Tom McKeown , an individual that embodies the core values of his team, club and the game. His experience, determination and personality will be a major asset to us all this year.

I wish him well in this special season and am sure that his teammates and all club members will back him to the hilt.
